What we collect

We collect the information you give us when you create an account: your name, email address, and the goals you choose during onboarding (for example, the habit you're working on). As you use the app, we record which sessions you play, your streaks, and your favourites so we can pick up where you left off and suggest what to listen to next.

We also collect standard device information, such as device model, operating system, app version, and crash logs, to keep the app working reliably.

What we never collect

We never record audio from your microphone. Sessions are one-way: Eira talks, and nothing you say or do during a session is captured. We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the service: syncing your progress across devices, tailoring program recommendations to your goals, sending the reminders you opt into, and improving the app through aggregated, de-identified usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your listening history with advertisers.

Your wellbeing data is sensitive

The habit you're working on says something personal about you. We treat your goals, session history, and streaks as sensitive data: encrypted in transit and at rest, visible only to you, and never used in marketing, lookalike audiences, or third-party analytics profiles.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of processors to operate Eira: cloud hosting, payment processing through the App Store and Google Play, and crash reporting. Each processes data only on our instructions and under contracts that meet the standards of this policy. Payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google; we never see your card details.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, goals, session history, and streaks within 30 days; anonymised aggregates that can no longer identify you may be retained.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email akmilabs@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Eira is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app and by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
